Stocks? Anybody Trading these days?

Is anyone in the stock market these days? I am finding it hasn't been very profitable for me holding. I have been swing trading and doing pretty well. This means buying and holding for a few days why the stock goes up a few percent and sell to pocket profits. I then get back in after it goes back down.

I have been doing the swingtrade with Dryships recently after watching the roller coaster of ups and downs for the past couple of months.

Anybody else have any stocks they do this with? If so what are you trading?

I've been doing some swing trading just as you describe. I recently got into Sprint (S) which has been up 5 or 6% in the past few days. Also, I bought some Best Buy (BBY) shares in the hopes that they would go private. The stock itself isn't doing particularly well, but if it goes private will see a huge spike in stock price.

I also bought McDonald's about a month ago or so. They had some bad news out of Europe I think which made the stock price fall a bit. I bought, and it's up 5% or so since then. Isn't exactly a volatile stock, but pays a nice dividend in the mean time. I bought 125 shares and I'll be long with this stock.

I also just got out of A123 systems (AONE), the electric battery maker. Didn't do well with that. Sold at a big loss.

Incidentally, Sprint is up about 9% today. The iphone 5 is so far reaching it's ridiculous. It helps anything even remotely related to it.
